Former midfielder Dietmar Hamann believes Dortmund forward Jamie Gittens should join Manchester United rather than Chelsea.

The Blues have previously shown interest in Gittens and had a formal bid of £42million rejected by the Black and Yellows, despite the player agreeing to a move to Stamford Bridge, เล่นบาคาร่า UFABET เว็บตรง ค่าคอมสูง while Hamann believes that at this point in time Gittens would be more suitable for the Red Devils as he would have a more important role.

“Borussia Dortmund was a great club for Jamie Gittens,” Hamann said. “He played a very important role, both in goals and assists, but that stopped when Niko Kovac came in.”

“Chelsea are aware of this and the player himself has made it clear that he wants to leave, but he is still under contract at the club. I would say Dortmund are not in the strongest position because the manager wants players who work hard and Gittens is not that type of player.”

“I think he will leave Dortmund but the club will not get the money they need – Chelsea have a lot of players but I think he can make a real difference at Manchester United. He’s young but he’s outstanding and I think he could be the player they need.”
